Summer 2022. My breeding program was getting off to a quiet start: Emma had had two litters, Jazmin was next in line, and I had three of Emma’s daughters growing up slowly. I had long wanted a Phantom female, though it wasn't in the immediate plans. Then fate stepped in: Moon Song, from MyTymes kennel in Ohio (USA), popped up in my Facebook feed. It was love at first sight; it was sooner than expected, but I was completely charmed by this beautiful blue-and-tan Phantom.

From the moment she arrived—barely 11 weeks old—she radiated a contagious zest for life; she was curious, bold, and afraid of absolutely nothing. It took more than a pack of five Standard Poodles, all older than her, to intimidate her. She quickly became our resident little clown; among other things, she discovered she could hop onto the kitchen island stools and sit there to keep us company. Definitely the biggest foodie among my Poodles, she is very easy to train—especially since she loves to learn.

Moana is a substantial female, weighing 60 pounds and standing 26 inches at the withers. She undoubtedly takes after her sire: a magnificent silver Phantom weighing over 70 pounds who is not only a UKC Grand Champion but also an assistance dog. Her dam, a tall, slender Phantom Poodle (black and cream), is also a UKC Grand Champion.

Moana earned her Canine Good Neighbor certification in the fall of 2023.

We work together on scent detection, a discipline in which she has earned her Instinct title; she needs only the "Interior" component to complete her Novice title.

We also practice trick training and Rally Obedience together. Disciplines in which we aim to win titles in the coming months.
